THE CREW

I started longboarding January of 2008 and have been obsessed ever since. Freestyle popped my cherry but now I've been feeling the need for speed. I push regular, kick like a beast, and squat in the John to practice my speed tuck. Aerodynamic pantalones, a full-face helmet, and the Rafe Symmetric speedboard are my current weapons of choice.

"Orgasm on wheels? December 14!"

Inez lovingly rides her Loaded Vanguard named David when she's not writing pleadings and reviewing contracts at her day job.

"See you all on December 14! Skate safe!"

Jackie is always armed with a board, camera and tripod ready to capture people kissing pavement or the expression of sheer joy and achievement on their faces once they've conquered a hill.

"It's amazing, how a hill, piece of wood, wheels, and a turning system have made so many people, so happy."

Bombing the fastest hill is like surfing huge waves. Its intense, most times scary, in the process the hill takes a little bit of you in turn, those are the moments when you feel most alive.

"peace, love, stoke! surf asphalt!!"

Lasse couldnt afford a proper mid-life crisis so went longboarding instead.

"Like a woman, longboarding has taken its pound of flesh and pint of blood from me while teaching me the wisdom of wearing protection even when you think you do not need it."

Paolo first stepped on a longboard in May 2008 and hasn't gotten off since, despite the (more than) occasional faceplants, bruises, and injuries. He particularly enjoys cruising and carving, but sporadically dabbles in the downhill race scene. Paolo is also the owner and operator of Longboards Manila, an online longboard retail store.

"Come on out and be a part of history on December 14th!"

Enjoys all boardsports; a Realtor by day, carpenter by night; loves Jesus but plays ultimate for the Devils; starts the day with a cup of fresh barako, ends it with an ice cold san miguel; thanks Sir Isaac Newton for his discovery; and eagerly awaits the pink hoverboard to be released in 2015.

"It's time we all go down! Let's ride some gravity... see you at the race."

T.o. is goofy but occasionally likes goofy mongo, always wears a helmet, and has 6 scabs and counting.

"Join the race! Join the freestyle! Or just come by to watch and help everyone spread the stoke!"
